Production Details Grand Cru Schlossberg parcel acquired by the Trimbach family in 2012, with first vintage in 2014. Granitic terroir with granite from Thannenkirch above Ribeauville and granite migmatite from Kaysersberg. Vineyard planted in horizontal terraces, south facing, just under the forest, giving a cooler microclimate. Vines are 35-40 years old with yields around 35 hl/ha. Grapes were handpicked as late as possible for maximum ripeness, gently pressed in a pneumatic press, and the juice fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats for three to four weeks.
