Production Details Grapes originated from 2 vineyard blocks on the estate, planted on Tukulu and Klapmuts soils with Vertical Shoot Positioning trellis systems and drip irrigation. Malbec clones MC26 and MC71 were used. Annual yield is between 7 and 10 tons/ha. Handpicked grapes from the different blocks were separately destemmed and whole berry fermented in stainless-steel tanks and French oak casks with twice-daily pump-overs. Total skin contact was 21 days before pressing. Malolactic fermentation and maturation followed in 300L French oak barrels for 12 months with 27% new oak incorporated.
