Production Details Single-vineyard Semillon from Elgin, Ward Valley Road. Vines grow on a rocky outcrop in the cool-climate Elgin Valley, trained with vertical shoot positioning on a traditional 3-wire trellis system at 233m above sea level on a SE-facing slope. Grapes were picked at optimal ripeness and cooled overnight to 4C, then whole-bunch pressed the next morning. Juice underwent spontaneous fermentation in amphora and new and old French oak. The wine received one sulfur addition in deep winter, spent 10 months on the lees, then was blended and bottled.
