Production Details Official producer page for Lua Ilse 2023 states that the wine is 100% Grenache Noir from a dryland bush-vine vineyard in Piekenierskloof. The producer describes light extraction in the cellar, fermentation with 25% stems, no yeast or enzymes added, maturation for 10 months in old neutral 500 litre French barrels, and bottling unfined with coarse filtration. The page also states that the maiden vintage of this wine was made in honour of the birth of the producer's first-born daughter, Lua Ilse, in 2019.
