Production Details Wine of Origin Cape South Coast. Hand-harvested Chardonnay from decomposed Bokkeveld shale on clay-loam at 270 m elevation. Long ripening period with 811 mm rainfall and average temperature of 22 C. Barrel fermented in 10% new oak and 90% second- and third-fill French oak barrels, then left on lees for another 10 months while undergoing malolactic fermentation. Trellising system: 7-wire Perold. Rootstocks: R99, R110, 101-14 MGT.
