Production Details Official Maanschijn product page for Herbarium Cape Red 2024 states that the blend comes from vineyards in the southern, cooler Walker Bay district. Fruit was fermented spontaneously, partially as whole bunches, for thirty-three days before pressing to aged French oak. Maturation lasted ten months in aged Burgundy casks before blending and bottling sans fining.
