Production Details The grapes for this wine were cultivated on the Riebeeksrivier farm in the Swartland, on the Malmesbury side of the Riebeek Kasteel Mountains. The vineyards lie on the western and southern slopes, and the Southern Slopes parcel combines clay and Malmesbury shale soils for a deeper, richer fruit profile. All components and vineyard blocks were handpicked at optimum ripeness and processed separately. The wine fermented in stainless steel tanks and Italian cement tanks (Nico Velo) after optical sorting, then matured for 16 to 18 months in fourth- and fifth-fill French oak barrels and stainless steel tanks.
